Security deposit

The security deposit is €200.

Before the booking begins, a card hold is placed on your payment card and it will be released if the boat has not been driven onto rocks or through a too-shallow channel. In other words, if you drive the boat in the Katajanokka canal, Sompasaari canal, east of Mustikkamaa, near Kulosaari Casino, or anywhere else that is too shallow or rocky, the deposit will not be returned.

The boat has real-time GPS tracking and the route travelled is recorded. The boat is inspected after every booking. Simply driving in the above-mentioned places is sufficient grounds for not returning the deposit.

Cancellation policy

Send a message to moi@stadinbotski.fi if you wish to cancel your booking. If you cancel more than 72 hours before the booking, we will refund the full payment.

If you wish to reschedule — for example due to bad weather — rescheduling is possible up to 24 hours before the booking.

Stadin Botski reserves the right to cancel a booking if the weather is too poor for safe boating or the boat is out of service. In that case the full payment will be refunded to the customer.

General terms

In these terms, the renter is the person making the booking and Stadin Botski is the boat owner.

  1. The renter must be at least 18 years old.
  2. When making the booking, the renter must provide correct contact details (phone number and email address).
  3. During the booking, the renter must carry a working phone with sufficient charge for possible communication.
  4. The renter is responsible for safe navigation, the crew and the boat. The renter is obliged to take care of the boat as carefully as a diligent person would their own, and to exercise special care and caution in using the boat. The renter agrees to take into account the requirements set by maritime law for the master of a vessel and to comply with other applicable laws and regulations.
  5. We require that the boat renter or skipper has prior boating experience and knowledge of boating rules. In the event of damage, the renter is liable for the resulting damages and must report the damage immediately.
  6. We recommend wearing life jackets.
  7. The boat must not carry more passengers than specified in the boat's CE marking.
  8. The boat must not be left unattended.
  9. Stadin Botski's liability is limited to the amount of the booking fee.
